Your photos, slides and negatives look like this???
Let us help.
What can we do?
We can take photos, slides, and negatives and convert them
into a much more usable digital format.
What does that mean?
We take your photos/slides/negatives and convert them into a digital image. We then take EACH one and resize it (one by one, we don't let our programs do it in "batches"), then adjust the colors and lighting to make it it the best that we can for you.
What then?
We put your "new" 4X6 images on a CD for you. We print off thumbnails (Sheets that have the photo number and a small version of the image on them) for you. The thumbnail sheets allow you to see what photographs are on which CD, so you don't have to pop the CD into your computer every time to figure out what photo you want..
Why should I do this?
Some Additional Info....
Preservation
Now your photographs are archived. The images are on an "archival" quality CD and will last for many, many years.
Safety
Think about getting an additional copy of your CD made and keep it somewhere safe. A safe deposit box, with someone you love out of state, the office. If something ever happens to your home...your memories are never lost. You just go get your emergency copy (or make a copy of the "emergency" CD) and...poof....you have all your memories.
Space
A CD will hold somewhere between 400-500 photos. Makes storage A LOT easier.
Usability
Anything you can do with a digital camera image...you can now do with your "old" images. You can e-mail them, print them off your computer or take them to someplace that prints photos and have them make you a print in the size you prefer. You can use them as your desktop background...the list goes on and on.
Time
Many of us want to scan our memories and get things in order, but let's face it...we just don't have the time. So let us do it for you,,,make it a one time treat for yourself...and enjoy the results!
How much does it cost?
Our charge is 1.50 cents per picture in whatever format and whatever size. We realize you can search the web and find cheaper places, but there are some things we'd like you to consider as you make your choices. First, we do everything "in house", nothing gets shipped. We are a family owned company that takes the time to do them the way we would want them done for our family. Although we possess the current technology and software that many other companies use, we've found that nothing beats hands on "fixing" of a photograph. We bring each photo into our professional photo editing software and do our best to make it a photo you can treasure..and we don't charge "extra" for that. If you do have a photo that requires EXTENSIVE restoration (it's in pieces or severely water damaged etc)...we will quote you a fair price based on how much time it will take us to restore it. Our goal is to have satisified customers...and families.
We will give you your photos and negatives at 300 dpi and your slides at 2400 dpi. This will allow you to get the best possible prints from your photos. But, always keep in mind that although we enhance the photos, we cannot get more from the photo than what is there. For example, if you have a small wallet school photo and want to "blow it up" to 8X10 size, you may be a bit disappointed in the results.
What do I get?
You receive an archival quality CD with your images and a booklet of thumbnail pages that have the image and the file name on them for easy reference. We give you a hard plastic DVD size case so that you can store your CD upright on a shelf (what we recommend for long term storage). We do not put 30 or more images on on one thumbnail sheet as we realize this often makes the image too small for viewing...instead we give you 16 on a page so that the image is easily viewable. This is another additional benefit we give our clients that is all included at no extra charge. If you would like an additional copy of the CD and thumbnails the charge is $10 each.
